Kenneth Molen DDS, MA - Principle College Founder, Previous CEO, Chairman of the Board, and Director Emeritus

Dr. Kenneth A. Molen graduated from Loyola University Chicago dental school in 1976 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS).  He has practiced general dentistry in New Mexico, Colorado, and Utah.

Dr. Molen is an educator with 37 years of experience.  He taught for nine years in Newport Beach, California in the public school system. He also worked in the Dental Hygiene Program at Weber State University, as the Supervising Dentist. From 1983-2006 Dr. Molen and Krista McClure founded several accredited dental assisting schools.

In 2005 Dr. Molen, Krista McClure, and Brent Molen founded Careers Unlimited, dba Utah College of Dental Hygiene.

He was the director of the dental hygiene program at UCDH from 2009 to 2014. 

Dr. Molen owns and operates a four dentist private restorative practice in unison with UCDH.

Dr. Molen has been a leader in the local community in providing free and low-cost dentistry to the underserved population.

Dr. Molen is an ACCSC Certified Accreditation Professional and has been a Team Leader for NATTS and ACCSC.

Krista McClure was one of the Founders and served as a Board member at The Utah College of Dental Hygiene.  She has been associated with dentistry for the past 30 years with experience working in private dental practices and dental colleges as a dental assistant, front office manager, and dental educator.  In addition, she has been the Director of Federal Financial Aid in several different colleges.  She founded Careers Unlimited College of Dental Assisting in 1994 and operated that ADA and ACCSCT accredited program until 2007 when she closed the program to concentrate solely on the Utah College of Dental Hygiene.

She works on accreditation compliance, assists with the Financial Aid Department, and assists in the general administration of faculty, staff, curriculum, Learning Research Center, graduate employment, and class scheduling and calendaring.  Krista has worked closely with the PAC (Program Advisory Committee) and she oversees the work of four full-time dentists in the restorative section of the College.  Krista McClure is a vital contributor to everything that makes UCDH a great and unique educational institution.

Mr. Molen served as a Board Member and was the past Director of Dental Hygiene at the Utah College of Dental Hygiene (UCDH).  He also served as the College President at UCDH (2012 - 2021) and has been working in various capacities related to the dental field for over 25 years. Mr. Molen has taught dental hygiene students in the UCDH dental clinics, labs, and classrooms, teaching various subjects within the dental hygiene program at UCDH. In 2012 Mr. Molen was presented with the Instructor of The Year Award from the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) and in 2015 he was awarded the Outstanding Volunteer of the Year Award from ACCSC. Mr. Molen was an accreditation Team Leader volunteer for ACCSC from 2010-2021. In 2022-2023 Mr. Molen was granted the title of Fellow by the American Dental Hygienists Association (ADHA).
